Where Will You Go When You Die?

The House With 1001 Rooms

Posted on
Somewhere in this world
There is a house
A huge huge house
With 1001 rooms
Where Will You Go When You Die?
And 2 servants for each room
To look after each room
Day and night
The house has 10 helipads
6 swimming pools
10 banquet halls
101 kitchens
Where Will You Go When You Die?
And who knows what else?
But the question is
Why would someone
Or for that matter
In the world
Want to have a house
Of such sorts?
Millions of people
All over the world
Are homeless, jobless
Where Will You Go When You Die?
How can one man
Build such a house
Without a thought
To the plight of people
All over the world?
How much he
Could have helped
People all over the globe
With the amount of money
He spent on building that house
Where Will You Go When You Die?
And what will he get
From owning such a house
A show of wealth?
An ego massage?
What kind of person
Can even think
Of building such a house
When people all over
The world are starving
Homeless, hungry?
Where Will You Go When You Die?
What is the point
Of such a home?
Of what use?
To what end?
Such a home is just
A reckless, pointless
Crude display of wealth
Sure the man can
And shout from the rooftops
Saying it is his money
And he can do whatever he
Pleases with it
Where Will You Go When You Die?
But is that really so?
Just because you
Are filthy rich
Does it give you the right
To do whatever you want?
But who are we
To judge?
It is his money
He can do whatever
He pleases with it
That is the power of wealth
When you have it
So goes the old adage
Where Will You Go When You Die?
But the big question
Will always linger
How can a man be like this
Just ‘coz he is rich?
How can he burn money
On such an ugly house
After all, what can
It be called
But ugly?
Where Will You Go When You Die?
And so this man
Now lives in this house
This ugly house
With his wife and kids
What kind of a life
Must such a man
Be leading?
Where Will You Go When You Die?
What kind of an ego
Must such a man
Be having?
How can a man
Behave in such a manner?
What will he do
With such a house?
Will he and his family
Live in each room?
One room each day?
What is the point in
Wasting so much money
For it is just a
Waste of money
On such a meaningless
Ugly house
But who can tell
Such a man anything?
Because he is filthy rich
He will think
He can do
Whatever he wishes too
Where Will You Go When You Die?
At least his wife and
Kids might have had the sense
To tell him
Not to do such a thing?
They did not
And they are all living together
In that ugly house of theirs
Will they live
Happily ever after?
People who have such tastes
Such desires
Can never be happy
No matter how wealthy
They might be
No matter how much
They may have
They will always be
Unhappy in life
Where Will You Go When You Die?
Because their lust for more
And more and more
AND when you lust and carve
For more and more
You can never ever be happy
Of that you can be sure
And so
Even if you live in a house with
1001 rooms and all
The latest luxuries
You will never be happy
For happiness does not come
From owning the best
Happiness comes from what
You see in the world around you
In the simple things in life
Not in a big house

Where Will You Go When You Die?

With 1001 rooms.
Why not start
Finding happiness today?
In the simplest form?
And why not
Try to make
Someone else happy today?
Wouldn’t that be so
Much much more better?
